The New York Knicks are officially eliminated from the playoffs. However with the debacle that’s been going on between Julius Randle and New York Knicks fans, along with New York media, the younger Knicks seem undeterred. The Knicks youth is too hungry to care about this catastrophic season involving fans and Julius Randle. In other words, the young hungry Knicks who were stifled on the bench earlier this season by Tom Thibodeau will play hard on both ends every time on the court every single game.
Hungry Young Knicks Will Continue Seizing All Opportunities.

Miles McBride, Immanuel Quickley, Obi Toppin, Jericho Sims and Quentin Grimes when heathy are hungry enough to seize every single opportunity Coach Thibs decides to give them. The same could be said about currently injured Cam Reddish who unfortunately is out the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury.
Different Kind Of Grit For Certain Young Players.

There seems to be a special and unnoticed benefit of having lower ranked yet experienced draft prospects on a roster. Quentin Grimes is an excellent plug and play option who happened to be a low end first round draft prospect, however, he was a highly touted talent coming out of high school. A chip being on Grimes shoulder is an understatement and the same can be said about the rest of the young Knicks roster. Seizing the opportunity is what it’s all about and the reigns must be let loose. Front office and coach Thibs must get on the same page regarding the youth as soon as possible.

Leon Rose and the front office may be leaning on analytics a little too much rather than common sense. Placing burden on veterans in Taj Gibson, Kemba Walker, Alec Burks, Derrick Rose, and Kemba Walker when healthy isn’t wise on Tom Thibodeau’s part. It also isn’t wise for the front office have a unhealthy balance of veterans in front of Thibs to burn out and stifle young hungry basketball players.

Tough Decisions For Knicks This Upcoming Offseason.
Many decisions this offseason must be made in terms of the veterans on the Knicks roster. Julius Randle, Alec Burks, Evan Fournier, Nerlens Noel, and Kemba Walker are veterans the Knicks may have to entertain in trade negotiations. Developing home grown players is a strategy the Knicks front office and the coaching staff must be aligned with. The Knicks franchise as a whole must begin to operate like a small market team and focus on development. Looking ahead to the new era, it’s great to have talent specialists in the front office like Walt Perrin to comb the draft for valid prospects and potential gems.
