This Knicks Squad Can Fight For The Playoffs

After what was widely considered to be a disappointing off-season for the Knicks which failed to land one of the many superstar talents available in free agency, Knicks fans have reason to be optimistic. The Knicks signed a solid combination of improving young players and veteran big men to scatter around last years young core.

Reality Check

Most of us were prepared for this, and despite the media bashing and public ridicule the organization has received, the Knicks did have a successful summer, even if it was plan B. With that being said, for the second time in a decade, they had a chance at signing the best player in the league, and just like 2010, missed out.

How Will RJ Barrett and Ignas Brazdeikis Fit on a Young Knicks Roster?

With Barrett, the Knicks have a two-guard who's most effective with the ball in his hands. At the moment, the Knicks have a couple of guards who share that similar trait. Allonzo Trier is the isolation-king, which is why his nickname is Iso-Zo and Dennis Smith Jr., who has shown to become a more efficient player when paired with another ball-dominant guard.

When the dust finally settled on lottery night, Knicks fans felt both disappointed and relieved, despite falling to the third overall pick in the draft. Sharing the highest odds with the Phoenix Suns and Cleveland Cavaliers, the Knicks were the only team to remain with a top three draft pick.
