During the break, it seemed like the Knicks are their Wheaties because they started the third quarter on fire. For the first five minutes, Mudiay was playing like he was the second coming of Dwyane Wade. He scored 8 points during the Knicks 15-5 run which increased the Knicks lead to ten with 7:15 remaining. Afterward, the Trailblazers took over.
First, the Knicks fall behind early. After the Knicks stumble in the first quarter, they regain some momentum and mount a comeback. Usually, that comeback gives Knicks fans false hope of a Knicks comeback win. Then the fourth quarter comes, and the Knicks crumble like shortcake.
Despite not having the talent to overcome the best teams in the NBA, Fizdale had the Knicks playing with intensity each game. There wasn't a game where the Knicks showed no fight. Now, the Knicks are playing like puppies, little barks with no bite.
